Our Ministry

Lenin and Amber have a deep desire to bring the truth and love of Jesus Christ, found in Scripture, to the people of Peru. God provided an opportunity to serve alongside TBM missionaries Delwin and Techy Fowler, assisting their church, Bible Community Church of Tarapoto, by teaching Vacation Bible School and Children's Bible Camp, helping in various ministries, and evangelizing in Tarapoto and the surrounding area, including starting women's Bible studies.

About Us

Amber Wave Finney was born in 1991 along with her identical twin sister, Violet Joy, the youngest of eleven children on a wheat and soybean farm near Beloit, Kansas. Her family built a machine shop, where she learned mechanics and machining; she holds a Class A CDL and a school-bus endorsement.

Though some family members were Christians, clear gospel teaching was scarce growing up, and fear of death and a sense of not being good enough shadowed her childhood. At eleven her family began attending a church where she heard the gospel, and at fifteen she finally trusted what Christ had done for her. A few years later a strong Bible-teaching church discipled her further, and through hard questions about eternal security, women's roles, and end times, God led her to Frontier School of the Bible, where she first understood that she could be a missionary.

She spent just over a year in Tarapoto, intending only nine months but staying longer through the COVID-19 lockdown. She led a youth mission trip to Lima before the lockdown, and during it started a women's Bible study over Zoom that grew to include women from Tarapoto, Lima, and Chile.
