Our Ministry

We have a vision for a healthy, grace-oriented, disciple-making church in Montpelier, Idaho, and a further desire that Hope Bible Church will help train future church leaders. We are glad to partner as a sister church with The Village Church in Garden City, Utah as together we seek to reach the entire Bear Lake Valley for Jesus Christ.

About Us

Bill grew up as a missionary kid in Utah from age twelve through high school. His parents were early TBM missionaries whom the Lord used to start three churches in Utah and Idaho. Bill graduated from Frontier School of the Bible in 1993, began pastoral ministry in Nebraska, and later pastored Fellowship Bible Church in Lindon, Utah, the church his father started and the one he grew up in. While pastoring there, he met Laura, who was in her final year at Frontier.

Laura grew up in a suburb of Denver and felt God's call to be a pastor's wife from an early age. She moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska, for her senior year of high school and there heard about Frontier School of the Bible. During her senior year at Frontier she served as youth coordinator at Calvary Memorial Evangelical Free Church, where her love for ministry deepened.

Bill and Laura were married on June 17, 2000, and have partnered in pastoral ministry ever since, serving four churches in Utah and Nebraska in revitalization roles. For ten years they ministered together at Frontier School of the Bible, where Bill served as vice president and taught. God has blessed them with seven children: Grace (married to Thomas Kline), Faith, Joy, Cherish, Delight, Will, and Comfort. Early in 2023 the Lord gave them a specific burden to plant a church in Montpelier, Idaho, and they are eager to see what He will do for His glory in a community He dearly loves.
